I have dated a few of them myself, and based on my experience, I can say that it’s not that much different from dating guys within my own race but there are a few exceptions.
White guys tend to be a lot more adventurous and spontaneous.
I am a low maintenance kind of gal so I never had a problem taking a hike and ending up at a watering hole.
I somehow always ended up with white guys who loved my hair and it didn’t matter if they were younger or older.
I will admit that being African seems quite appealing to guys of other races, especially white men.
My name alone would garner a level of attention and then the avalanche of questions regarding my background.
Question: Do all white men think all Black women are hoochie mama, welfare, child bearing, uneducated b******?
Answer: No, I don’t think all white men feel that way about Black women.
Visconti, the founder and CEO of Diversity Inc, is a nationally recognized leader in diversity management. In his popular column, readers who ask Visconti tough questions about race/culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability and age can expect smart, direct and disarmingly frank answers.Women executives from Johnson & Johnson, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Marriott give career advice from mentoring to work/life balance to women working to ensure they are paid the same as their male counterparts.Apparently the way I carried myself and the way I spoke convinced them that I would attract mostly white guys.I wasn’t sure how to feel about that but it got me thinking about what black girls imagine when they consider dating a white guy.
