It is focused on the dating life of Jo De La Rosa, a former cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County. They’re happy with where they are in their careers and don’t see any need to push themselves and I struggle to see a long term future with them. It feels like I want more out of life than they do.I’m not someone that will just pack up and move to the country and have chickens and a veggie patch. Do you feel like men are intimidated by you and your success?

As it is women are taught not to ask questions about why someone chooses not to date them….

That’s right, no one has ever outright said “I can’t date you because I’m intimidated”, but therein lies the problem.

A lot of other female (entrepreneur) friends have the same issue, they just don’t date long term because the guys don’t match up terms of ambition and then it’s a turn off and a struggle.

Emma is an entrepreneur who creatively hacked the most notoriously beau monde industry – Interior Design – with her pragmatic, creative solutions to living in style at any stage of your life. You need to run the business to make money to survive but you can live without having someone else in your life. It does bother me when people say “You’ve put your business first and that’s why you’re single” because I think it’s about finding the right person, not choosing the business over dating, that’s not the reason I have a career instead of a husband.

Emma’s innovative thinking has led her from interior design consulting, event management and styling, to hosting a decorating school, mentoring budding young stylists and just recently publishing her first book. Weighing up your priorities is always difficult, whatever is screaming the loudest tends to win Does it bother you that you have all of your entrepreneurial successes but haven’t yet found a relationship? Do you think going forward that you will look for someone that is an entrepreneur/creative or has a business background?
